UAE – Aspen Medical, renowned globally for its advanced healthcare solutions, has entered a strategic collaboration with the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD).
This partnership is aimed at enhancing healthcare education, training, and workforce development in the region.
Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both organizations are set to launch a series of impactful programs designed to benefit students, healthcare professionals, and the broader community.
The MoU was formalized by Glenn Keys, Executive Chairman of Aspen Medical, and Professor Mohamed Salem, President of UOWD.
Joint programs for skill development
Aspen Medical and UOWD will collaborate on the creation and delivery of healthcare training programs that focus on critical care, emergency response, and public health initiatives.
This collaboration will also extend to public health awareness campaigns that aim to tackle pressing regional healthcare challenges.
One of the highlights of the partnership is the development of a clinical skills and simulation lab.
This state-of-the-art facility will provide UOWD students with experiential training, enhancing their clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
Glenn Keys expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are excited at the prospect of working with UOWD to create meaningful pathways for students and professionals to advance their skills in healthcare. This partnership will enhance learning experiences and support workforce development and emergency preparedness in the region.”

Expanded Educational Opportunities
Aspen Medical’s contribution to UOWD will go beyond facilities and training programs. The company will offer guest lectures on field hospital management, emergency response in high-risk environments, and cutting-edge deployable healthcare technologies.
Additionally, students and alumni in Health Sciences will have the chance to participate in internships at Aspen Medical’s healthcare facilities and public health initiatives, gaining practical insights and experience.
The MoU solidifies the shared commitment of Aspen Medical and UOWD to nurturing a skilled, sustainable healthcare workforce capable of addressing the sector’s evolving challenges.
Aspen Medical’s advisory services will further ensure that UOWD aligns its curriculum with global best practices for healthcare standards and workforce readiness.
