USA – Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a leader in laboratory automation and innovation and part of the Danaher Corporation, has appointed Joe Fox as its new president.
Fox, an experienced leader with a background in the life sciences and clinical sectors, brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role, where he will lead over 3,300 global associates to drive the company’s strategic goals and innovation.
Fox transitions into his role at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences after serving as president of SCIEX, another company under Danaher Corporation.
Over his 13-year tenure at SCIEX, Fox held a series of leadership positions, gaining deep industry expertise and building a track record of business growth.

In his new position, Fox will oversee global operations and drive product and service innovations that advance laboratory workflows across key areas, including centrifugation, flow cytometry, genomics, particle analysis, and liquid handling.
With a focus on addressing the evolving challenges of modern laboratories, Fox aims to strengthen Beckman Coulter’s customer-centric approach.

With his background in Biochemistry and Chemistry, Fox is well-prepared to lead product innovation across areas crucial to Beckman Coulter Life Sciences’ mission.
He plans to advance technologies in genomics and flow cytometry, two fields where the company has introduced several groundbreaking solutions in 2024.
Fox also emphasized Beckman Coulter Life Sciences’ commitment to sustainability, aiming to integrate eco-friendly practices into product design, packaging, and operations.

Fox’s journey to Beckman Coulter Life Sciences includes key roles at SCIEX, Bruker, and Shimadzu, where he held both technical and commercial responsibilities.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware and a PhD in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.
His leadership and academic expertise give him a unique perspective on the scientific and operational needs of the life sciences industry.
Fox’s appointment comes as Beckman Coulter Life Sciences continues to launch cutting-edge products designed to meet the needs of laboratories around the world.
