USA – GE HealthCare has unveiled the Pristina Via, an innovative mammography system aimed at improving breast imaging workflows and patient care.

Built on the patient-focused Senographe Pristina platform, the Pristina Via incorporates cutting-edge features that prioritize speed, accuracy, and ease of use.
Notable advancements include zero-click acquisition, eliminating delays between exposures, and vendor-neutral prior image comparison, allowing seamless assessments across platforms.
The system delivers up to twice the imaging speed of other mammography technologies while maintaining the lowest radiation dose for all breast thicknesses.
Additionally, its reliability is backed by a 99% uptime, supported by GE HealthCare’s service contracts.
These enhancements reduce repetitive tasks, empowering mammography technologists to deliver personalized, high-quality care, even as staffing shortages persist.
GE HealthCare highlighted that while the number of women seeking mammograms remains steady, the growing technologist vacancies create gaps in care—a challenge Pristina Via aims to address.

By automating workflows, Pristina Via enables technologists to focus more on their patients and less on operational hurdles.
Developed in collaboration with over 250 technologists through interviews and clinical observations, the Pristina Via directly addresses the increasing demands of modern healthcare.

Broader innovations in medical imaging
GE HealthCare’s launch of Pristina Via is part of its ongoing commitment to advancing imaging technologies.
Earlier this year, the company partnered with DeepHealth, a subsidiary of RadNet, to develop AI-powered SmartTechnology tools that enhance imaging interpretation, reporting, and team collaboration.
