Canon Medical emphasizes that the system is free of third-party parts, ensuring reliability and consistency in performance.

A standout feature of this system is its integration with Canon’s Altivity suite of AI tools, designed to enhance both image quality and workflow efficiency.

These tools significantly reduce scan times while delivering high-resolution imaging, providing clinicians with a more effective diagnostic tool for diverse clinical needs.

AI-driven innovations

The Vantage Galan system is powered by Canon’s advanced AI technologies, including the Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) and the Precise IQ Engine (PIQE).

Together, these solutions optimize productivity by offering faster scans, enhanced image clarity, and improved diagnostic support.

According to Mark Totina, Director of Canon Medical’s Magnetic Resonance division:

Our new real-time platform and AI-driven enhancements deliver high-quality imaging and operational efficiency, helping clinicians meet the diverse needs of patients and healthcare facilities today.”

AI’s role in shaping healthcare

The use of AI in medical imaging is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of innovation in healthcare.

A GlobalData report projects global revenue for AI platforms in healthcare will hit US $18.8 billion by 2027, with AI-assisted MRI systems identified as a key growth driver.

Canon Medical is among the top companies advancing this technology, alongside Fujifilm, Philips, and GE HealthCare.

These companies are not only leading in patent filings but also dominating the global MRI market, which is expected to surpass US $9 billion by 2033.

High-tech systems like the Vantage Galan 3T are predicted to contribute significantly, with 3T MRI devices alone estimated to generate US $2.5 billion in market value.

Canon Medical isn’t the only company unveiling innovations at RSNA 2024. Philips is also set to debut its BlueSeal 1.5T MRI system, featuring MR Smart Workflow to automate key aspects of MRI examinations and deliver enhanced imaging capabilities.
