Abu Dhabi Global Health Week launches innovation awards to celebrate healthcare excellence

UAE – Abu Dhabi Global Health Week (ADGHW) has introduced the ADGHW Innovation Awards, an esteemed initiative aimed at recognizing outstanding contributions to the healthcare field.

These awards honor individuals and organizations that are pushing the boundaries of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in healthcare.

The goal is to highlight solutions that will shape the future of health and inspire continued progress.

The winners of the ADGHW Innovation Awards will be revealed at an awards ceremony during ADGHW 2025, taking place from April 15 to 17 in Abu Dhabi.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has curated this prestigious event to celebrate visionary leaders driving change in healthcare and addressing critical challenges.

These awards highlight innovations that improve patient outcomes, increase accessibility, and optimize healthcare delivery.

The recognition comes with an international spotlight and a financial prize tailored to each award category.

The four categories of the awards include Individual, Local, Regional, and Global Institutional innovation, and they are open to healthcare innovators, providers, and research institutions worldwide.

To qualify for the awards, submissions must address significant healthcare challenges with originality, impact, scalability, and sustainability.

The innovations must fit into one of three areas: Digital Health, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Innovations, or Medical Devices and Diagnostics.

Additionally, the innovations should have been developed or advanced within the past three years, backed by evidence showing their effectiveness.

A distinguished panel of global healthcare leaders, digital health experts, and policymakers will thoroughly review the submissions. Entries can be submitted through the official ADGHW website until March 12, 2025.
