Hims & Hers expands to Europe with Zava telehealth acquisition

USA – Hims & Hers Health, a company known for offering virtual care directly to consumers, has announced its acquisition of Zava, a European telemedicine provider.

This move helps Hims & Hers expand in the UK and officially enter new markets, including Germany, France, and Ireland.

According to the company, this deal will “significantly strengthen Hims & Hers’ international footprint.”

Zava’s medical team already serves more than 1.3 million people and delivered nearly 2.3 million consultations in 2024 across Europe.

Following the acquisition, Hims & Hers plans to expand its personalized healthcare services into areas such as mental health, sexual wellness, skincare, and weight management.

“The demand for simpler, more personalized healthcare is universal,” said Hims & Hers founder and CEO Andrew Dudum.

“By leveraging Zava’s established European presence, cutting-edge technology, and deep customer understanding, we’re poised to fundamentally transform access to care for millions across Europe.”

Zava’s cofounder and CEO David Meinertz added, “No matter where you live, people need healthcare that is personal, trustworthy and fast.”

He emphasized that joining with Hims & Hers will help make high-quality care more accessible: “Together we’ll pair Zava’s trusted clinical services, established footprint, and deep understanding of the European healthcare landscape with the Hims & Hers experience to make affordable access to high-quality, personalized care the rule, not the exception.”

The bigger picture

This acquisition follows a series of strategic moves by Hims & Hers to expand its reach and capabilities.

Earlier this year, the company partnered with Novo Nordisk to offer Americans a bundled package that includes the obesity drug Wegovy and a Hims & Hers membership, starting at US$599 per month. That bundle includes 24/7 care, nutrition support, and clinical services.

In February, Hims & Hers also acquired Trybe Labs (formerly Sigmund NJ LLC), a provider of at-home lab testing services.

This acquisition enables customers to monitor their health more closely and provides doctors with better data to identify risks before conditions become serious.
