It offers eight different bench meters tailored for specific testing purposes:

  • Orion Pro Star PH211: For pH/ORP testing
  • Orion Pro Star EC212: For conductivity measurements
  • Orion Pro Star DO213: For dissolved oxygen testing
  • Orion Pro Star PI214: For pH and ion analysis
  • Orion Pro Star PC215: For pH, ion, and conductivity testing
  • Orion Pro Star PD216: For pH, ion, and dissolved oxygen testing
  • Orion Pro Star PI217: Dual-channel pH and ion meter
  • Orion Pro Star MP218: For pH, ion, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen testing

Each meter has been carefully designed to provide reliable and accurate results, simplifying workflows and reducing the risk of errors.

According to Thomas Doerdelmann, vice president and general manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, “Electrochemistry testing is critical for ensuring quality and compliance across industries, and the Orion Pro Star series delivers the precision and reliability labs depend on. These meters empower users of all skill levels to confidently achieve their analytical goals.”

Key features of the Orion Pro Star Meters

The Orion Pro Star meters are equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen that offers guided navigation, setup assistance, and step-by-step calibration.

On-screen prompts, icons, and troubleshooting support make the devices accessible to both technical and non-technical users.

With up to three measurement channels and three modes—continuous, auto-read, and timed-read—the meters can handle various testing scenarios.

The compact design includes a vertical meter orientation and a freestanding electrode holder, saving valuable lab space while maintaining high performance.

The meters are also built to last, with dust- and water-resistant housings rated IP-54 for durability. The flexible electrode holder improves cable management and can be adjusted for optimal bench placement.

Advanced data and security features

To ensure data integrity and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), the meters can store up to 10,000 data logs and 20 calibration logs per parameter, complete with date and time stamps.

Customizable reports can be exported to printers, computers, or USB drives and integrated with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Additionally, the devices offer advanced security options, supporting up to three administrators and 30 user accounts with unique logins and permissions. This controlled access ensures data protection and efficient management.
